This bouquet is inspired by Melanie's love for designer Susanna Chow's statement outerwear - the floral equivalent of what might happen if Melanie's favorite red Susanna Chow coat and her favorite burgundy Susanna Chow coat had a baby.
More than twenty mixed roses come together in deep burgundy and striking crimson, including lush, old-fashioned David Austin varieties. The bouquet is built atop a signature House of Harstad bird's nest design, nestled in a rustic black linen-wrapped vessel, and finished with dark green air ferns, greenery, and a sassy skirt of burgundy marabou feathers circling its base - a nod to Susanna's signature fur cuffs and collars.
It's completely sustainable, too. When the florals fade in a few years, simply lift the bouquet from its vessel, turn it upside down, and hang it outside - it's a fully functioning bird's nest.
At House of Harstad, every arrangement carries its own story — and sometimes, a little something more. The founder may (or may not) sprinkle an extra touch, all depending on what the piece — and your story — calls for. Every creation is intuitive, heartfelt, and made with the kind of care you can't quite put into words — only feel.
PRODUCT CARE
PRODUCT CARE
DO:
- Display in a cool, room-temperature environment, away from direct heat or humidity.
- Gently remove any dust using a soft duster or air blower after several months.
- Handle with care when moving—each arrangement is hand-placed and delicately composed.
- Allow the arrangement to remain in its original vase for optimal longevity and visual impact.
DON’T:
- Do not water the flowers—these are preserved to last without moisture.
- Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade and weaken the florals over time.
- Do not insert additional stems or objects into the arrangement, as this can crush or shift the design.
- Refrain from removing the flowers from the vase—they are carefully secured for a reason.
- Avoid placing the arrangement directly on light-colored fabrics or surfaces, as staining may occur.

WHAT IS A
style icon?
A STYLE ICON ISN'T A TREND.
It's a moment. It's the outfit you still think about years later. The milestone look. The one that turned heads for reasons you couldn't quite explain. It's not about being "fashionable" - it's about the energy behind what someone wore, and what it made everyone around them feel. For this series, we take that moment - the outfit, the era, the commentary, the feeling - and turn it into the inspiration for a one-of-a-kind preserved arrangement. You send us the story. We design something out of this world to match it. And here's the part we love most: once it's created, that arrangement doesn't just live in a photo. It becomes available for anyone to bring into their own home - a little piece of someone else's defining moment, now part of yours.
